Windows 7 Beta comming soon!
Good news (or not so good news depending on which side of the operating system fence you sit on!) Microsoft is apparently releasing its first beta of Windows 7 within the next few weeks. Its unconfirmed if its available to the public, or just developers, but no doubt as soon as its released it will appear on bit torrent!
To quote Michael Cherry, an analyst at Directions on Microsoft:
Microsoft might have some concerns about the early code getting reviewed,” said Cherry. “They won’t want anyone to do any performance testing with a beta, but once it’s out it’s inevitable that those of us as analysts will start writing our impressions about the early code. Analysts abhor a vacuum.”
One feature we do know that is supposedly included in the Windows 7 is the much hyped multi-touch feature, similar to that found in the iPhone and ipod touch.
Although its rumoured for a late 2009 release i reckon it will be at least 2010!…and as for it being a new operating system, it seems like Vista Version 2 (what vista should of been!) …but as more information comes to light…only time will tell!
